Right now Flourishing in Deutschland is just getting under way. For now, I will be sharing introductions and information about the adventure my husband and I are about to embark on. On August 30, 2014, we will be moving to Kaufbeuren, Germany so that William can attend jewelry school. We will be living there for three years, and this blog will function as both a journal of our experiences for family and friends as well as advice for other expats.
It is going to be a unique experience, and I am looking forward to sharing that experience. William is not a single college student studying abroad for a semester, nor is he being transferred here for work. We don’t have the support of an American university or the financial assistance of a company. It is just the two of us as William navigates school, and as I navigate the “trailing spouse” life.
Who We Are
I’m Chloe, the primary writer behind this blog. My husband, William, may pop in at times, but don’t count on it. We have been married for a little over a year, and we have been together since high school.
If you would like to help support us in Germany, you can contribute on our Go Fund Me page. All contributions will receive a gift from us as well as our undying gratitude.
